Napoli star Marek Hamsik knows they must beat Villarreal to make progress in the Champions League. Napoli need three points to guarantee a place in the knockout stages, or at least match Manchester City’s result from their game against Bayern Munich.
“We must try to beat Villarreal, whilst seeing what happens between Manchester City and Bayern.
“The Spaniards are struggling in their League and have not recorded any points in the Champions League this year, but they are still a good team, very difficult to deal with. For us it will be a very difficult game, we will have to suffer and struggle until the end of the 90 minutes if we want to succeed.”

Goran Pandev has declared he wants to stay with Napoli. Pandev struck twice in their draw with Juventus on the weekend.
“Considering the good rapport between the Presidents of Inter and Napoli, I think the buy-out clause can be activated,” agent Carlo Pallavicino told Radio Crc.
“We’re pleased that Goran is proving to be important for Napoli. If the situation developed, he would be very happy to make the move a permanent one.
“He is absolutely convinced he’ll continue this adventure in Napoli, the city where his second child was born. When you come to Naples, you never want to leave...”

Inter Milan face a battle with Chelsea for Universidad de Chile striker Eduardo Vargas. Inter chief Marco Branca confirmed their interest in Vargas last week, but they've been caught napping by Chelsea as negotiations are ramped up.
Blues owner Roman Abramovich has Piet de Visser in Santiago this week for talks with Universidad de Chile over a fee for the attacker.
Chelsea are willing to offer £5 million, but Vargas' club is demanding almost another £2 million as his former teams are due 35 per cent of any sell-on fee.
